Project Highlight
The City of Baltimore Department of Public Works (DPW) is engaged in doing some improvements on the Lower Stoney Run Interceptor . This contract consists of 1.4 miles of new sanitary sewer line, from the intersection of Linkwood Road and Ridgemere Road, to the Lower Stoney Run Waste Water Pumping Station, and from the Pumping Station to 36” Diameter Sanitary collector at Falls Road under the 29th Street Bridge.
Kumi Construction Management Corporation (KCM) was contracted by Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) to provide Construction Management / Inspection services for the above mentioned project. KCM staff is providing construction project management services by monitoring and coordinating the efforts of the contractor and her subs which involves; frequent site inspection; tracking schedule progress; evaluating and resolving issues for differing site conditions as well as field changes. The staff also performs change order research and preparation, specification research and interpretation, cost estimating and negotiations with contractor for final change order pricing, along with expediting field decisions to avoid project delays. The staff produces daily activity reports to reflect work performance and materials incorporated or delivered on site and take daily performance photos that reflect actual progress of the job.
